March 2012: Cape May Par 3 & Driving Range announces course maintenance updates for 2012.
 

Since last fall, we have been working to make course improvements that will enhance your golf experiences at Cape May Par 3 & Driving Range! For the upcoming season, we have layed sod around the tees, to replace the worn turf. We used a Tall Fesque that will be well rooted by mid-May. This is a hearty turf that will withstand most draught conditions. The new turf replaced grass that was worn from years of use. We have scheduled a program of replacing small worn areas annually, for a better golf experience.  We do ask that when you hit from the mat, you stand on the mat and not on the grass.
 

We hope you realize the value at Cape May Par 3. The Par 3 is an 18-Hole par 3 course that takes only a couple hours to play. A round of golf is only $15.95 (Juniors $10). We offer a full golf facility with full size, country club condition greens, 2 practice greens, a full length driving range, and pro shop. James Quinn, professional golf instructor, is available for lessons, clinics, and consultations. Once again the Make-A-Wish® Golf Outing will be hosted and sponsored by Cape May Par 3 & Driving Range. The event will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011. There will be two shot gun starts, one at Noon and one at 4PM. We expect a sold out event which will benefit children living with life threatening medical conditions, to fund their fondest wish. The Make-A-Wish® Foundation of New Jersey grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. With the help of generous donors and more than 300 local volunteers, the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of New Jersey granted over 475 wishes last year in the state. The Make-A-Wish® Foundation of New Jersey is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization governed by a diverse and respected volunteer Board of Directors. Cape May Par 3 & Driving Range Now Offers Video Lessons

Aug 11, 2010 – Today, there are many golf academies that teach golf (of course, here at the shore, they are a bit of a drive!). Those golf academies use a host of high tech gadgets and gizmos to help you improve your game. Of course, these experiences cost a lot of money and are really designed for the higher end golfer. Bio mechanics and motion analysis are two of the more popular, high tech approaches.

At Cape May Par 3 & Driving Range, we offer video lessons to help you improve your golf swing, by using some of the same ideas about teaching and learning golf. Essentially, you can see what your swing looks like (in addition to ‘feeling’ and ‘hearing’ the swing as you do it). After having several swings taped, the video is loaded into a cd or sent to you via e mail with a few tips on it.  In a complete video lesson, once James has the videoed your golf swings, he will use lines, dashes, and dots, as well as slow motion and voice over to show you your current positioning and where you should be at every point in the swing. You can even send James your own video from a remote location and he can analyze it.  In short order, you will realize how valuable this type of experience is to improving your golf game.
